Dr. Ashit Shah is a senior consultant Urologist heading Aashray Urology Institute. Having spent more than 27 years in the profession of Urology, he has experience of over 1,50,000 urological consultations and more than 18,000 surgeries. Dr. Shah did his M.B.B.S. from Medical College and M.S. University, Baroda. Post-graduation, he completed M.S. from Medical College and S.S.G. Hospital, Baroda with a specialization in General Surgery and also was awarded Diplomate of National Board (D.N.B.) in Genito-Urinary Surgery by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi. After that, he went to France and earned his Diplomate in Laparoscopic Urology from Louis Pasteur University, Strasbourg. He is certified by the Indian Medical Council, Gujarat Medical Council, National Academy of Medical Sciences (National Board of Examinations), and Louis Pasteur University, France. 

Dr. Shah has a special interest in Endo-Urology especially, Urolithiasis i.e. Urinary Stone Disease. Besides being the pioneer Andrologist in the city, he is an acknowledged expert focused on treating patients having urological disorders with minimally invasive urosurgery. His associations in his more than 27 years of experience include Indian Medical Association, Urological Society of India, Societe’ Internationale d’ Urologie, American Urological Association, and numerous other state and local medical societies. Being counted amongst the torch bearers of ethical and transparent medical practice in the city of Vadodara, he was conferred ‘Inspiring Urologist Award’ for the year 2019 by The Economic Times. Believing in the concept of “We treat, He cures”, Dr. Ashit Shah envisaged the concept of Aashray with the idea of becoming co-healers with the patients in their journey of becoming free from urological ailments.

  1. Clinically evaluated the prototype KARL STORZ IMAGE 1 HX, HX-P camera head, a part of IMAGE 1 SPIES HX system.
  2. Clinical evaluated the 'Efficacy and Tolerability of FDC of Tamsulosin SR plus Tolterodine LA in Patients with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia’ (RX/MACR/2004-14).
  3. Clinically evaluated the feasibility of Transurethral Bipolar Enucleation (TUBE) in patients using the prototype Karl Storz Bipolar Vapo enucleation electrode.
